The Favre Saga Continues…
A lot of eyes are on Minnesota’s #4, Brett Favre, who returned for another year with the Vikings after 3 teammates Steve Hutchinson, Jared Allen and Ryan Longwell paid a visit to him at his home recently.
The three men flew to Mississippi to beg the nearly 41 year old into coming back for one more year. After an overnight stay and several hours of talking, Favre said, “OK. Let’s do it.”
Favre is just coming off his third ankle surgery and he is already taking lubricant injections to relieve the pain.

A new, first of its kind disease has swept the nation, with origins in Canton, Ohio. This disease is spreading like wildfire, and the only thing officials know about it so far is that it’s some kind of fever.
The Surgeon General and the CDC have collaborated and named the disease “PigSkin Madness Fever Disease.” Symptoms include but are not limited to the painting of one’s face and body, huge crazy colored hair and the swelling of one hand to enormous proportions and resembling a giant number 1.

The Baltimore Ravens have a poll going on at baltimoreravens.com to find out if fans want to stick with the current “Ravens Fight Song” or adopt the old fight song redone with a new spin on it.
The statistics are 77% in favor of the updated version of the old song and 23% in favor of keeping the song they have now. So far there have well over 6,000 votes.
The Ravens have used the current song to help inspire team spirit from the crowd since 1998, but over the years it popularity has dropped and its not firing up the crowd like it should.

The Chicago Bulls didn’t win the big prize in this summer’s free agent sweepstakes, with LeBron James opting to sign with the Miami Heat. They’ve made some nice acquisitions despite that, however, and appear to be on the verge of signing well traveled shooting guard Tracy McGrady. McGrady is very receptive to joining the much improved Bulls, though there are a couple of contingencies that need to be worked out before a deal is finalized.

Several other sports offer fantasy leagues, and in fact the Fantasy NASCAR League was based on the original fantasy league, the Soccer Fantasy League, but for lovers of car racing, it is the top one.
If you do not know how the Fantasy NASCAR League works, it is pretty simple to explain. People who register in the league become team owners, and they have to pick a racing team from the selection of real human drivers on the NASCAR circuit.
