The NFL Lockout Has Ended, Footballs Back!

The NFL Lockout is finally over!

The NFLPA Executive Committee met in Washington Monday and the 32 player representatives voted unanimously to ratify the new CBA.

Everyone has wanted these negotiations settled, but no one more than us fans.

Fans want to hear about football, not law suits, lockout, and negotiations, but what we must realize is that this was a negotiation, a business deal and business deals should not be entered into lightly.

Football is a sport, but it is also a job to all people in the NFL. From the executive staff to the players, everyone must be satisfied with the CBA.

Would you work a job if you did not like the terms of your employment contract? I think not!

The players are the driving force fans come to see.  These guys make the big bucks, but they make them for many reasons. Talent, training, hard work, and dedication just to name a few, but let’s not forget – football is a grueling and dangerous sport.

Some injuries can last a lifetime so why shouldn’t the players want to ensure their work contract is all it should be to help secure their futures.

These guys go to work when they are hurt or sick, whether it’s hotter than blazes or freezing cold. Come rain, snow, sleet or shine these men come out to entertain us.

As much as I am glad the NFL lockout is over, I am just as glad the NFL and its players were able to negotiate a new CBA that will satisfied all.

This agreement guarantees football for the next 10 years with no opt-outs on either side.

Neither side got everything they wanted, but they were able to compromise a fair deal.

Here’s what some of the guys had to say today,

George Atallah, Assistant Executive Director of External Affairs for the NFLPA,

It’s Unanimous.

Emmanuel Sanders, wide receiver for the Pittsburgh Steelers,

Lockout over! Let’s get it! The road to number 7.

Larry Fitzgerald, wide receiver for the Arizona Cardinals,

“Hey Laaaa hey Laaaa my girlfriend’s (Football) back”

Nick Barnett, linebacker for the Green Bay Packers,

It’s offical like a referees whistles !!!

Chris Harris, safety for the Chicago Bears,

First I want 2 say thanks 2 all the fans who stuck n there and endured these past 4 months but the wait is over. ARE U READY 4 SOME FOOTBALL

So it’s official, the NFL Lockout is over.

With all that said, let’s celebrate and get on with what’s most important to us fans… FOOTBALL!!!
