Will Nate Robinson Make The Switch From NBA TO NFL?

Nate Robinson, the shortest player in the NBA, a fire cracker who can spark a team says he would like to play football in the NFL if the NBA lockout continues.
Many of the NBA players are considering playing basketball internationally and talking about going overseas if the lockout remains in effect into the season.
On the other hand, Nate Robinson would like to join the ranks of the NFL for a bit. He plans on trying out if the NFL lockout ends in time for training camps.
“If I can, I would love to play football a little bit,” says Robinson less than half-jokingly. “I’ve been doing a little bit of training.”
The son of a college football player, Robinson played a remarkable season as a cornerback with the Huskies before being drafted into the NBA.
In 2004 he told USA Today:
“I might surprise some people, but I’m all for doing different things. I want to be the first to play (pro) basketball and football. I hope I can make history. You have to play your cards right, that’s all.”
There really is no surprise that he would like to join the NFL. He went to University of Washington under a football scholarship, but he states that he loves basketball more.
Rather than be unemployed, Oklahoma City Thunder’s Nate Robinson is making a plans for his future.
“Why wouldn’t you want to have an NBA player that can play football try out? That’s a lot of publicity for your organization.”
In case the NFL lockout doesn’t get settled in time, Nate does have another career plan.
“If their lockout (the NFL) goes the whole season, then I’m gonna go play basketball overseas.”
