Sources tell Mike Florio of ProFootballTalk.com that there is a belief in some circles that Mike Shanahan, rumored to have the Redskins head coaching job all but locked up, might be interested in the Texans head coaching position if current head coach Gark Kubiak gets fired.

Shanahan would be reunited with his son Kyle who is currently the Texans’ offensive coordinator while also working again with Texans G.M. Rick Smith who used to be part of his coaching staff while in Denver. The Texans have not come out and guaranteed Kubiak’s return and his status for next year is still very much in doubt.

Texans QB Schaub Has Dislocation Of Shoulder

Texans Schaub Trade Football

Matt Schaub shoulder injury on Sunday was a dislocation to the same shoulder that required surgery in 2007, according to the Houston Chronicle. “Same arm, same injury,” Schaub said. “Dislocated in the same spot. I don’t think it’s quite as severe as the one that happened two years ago.” Yeah Matt, let’s hope it’s not as severe as the one that ended your season two years ago, he was able to come back to the game after getting hurt yesterday and played just fine, and for now it looks like he dodged a bullet. He did say he was experiencing pain the rest of the game, so hopefully his shoulder will get better heading into next week.
